چکیده

In this study, the problem is focused on Cikarangplant, especially department warehouse 5 which currently producing a new variant, K2FA type. Because mass production time for type has not been running long time, there are still many adjustments that need to be made in work process order create good effectiveness and efficiency. This reflected one of supply processes, namely preparation plastic eating step floor, because it was found an additional process, unpacking train handling facilities were considered inadequate, causing problems manpower area. begins with high number reject parts reach total 11.5% percent months, therefore potential existing rejects must identified minimize causes waste as goal study. The analysis phase carried out using DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), use FMEA improvement (Failure Mode Effect Analysis). results study expected suggestions minimizing waste.

Implementation of Lean Manufacturing

The Toyota Production System (TPS) is recognized by many to be the paragon for manufacturing system design. As such, it has been imitated by several companies inside their production plants in an effort to reap the manufacturing performance of Toyota. While imitation typically consists of "retrofitting" existing traditional plants with TPS, this thesis focuses on the actions required to design ...
